John Knight is an every man storyteller with a deadpan cutting edge. "I just got a new car insurance policy, and I noticed a clause that says I'm not covered in the event that my car is damaged in a nuclear holocaust." Knight muses in wry wonderment. "Which means they're concerned I'll call the next day and say, "Oh no, look at my car, I shoulda' put it in the garage!"
He has appeared in concert with the likes of Jay Leno, Leon Redbone, Howie Mandel and deadpan soul brother Steven Wright. His writing credits include creator and writer of the animated "Apocalptic Al" series for National Lampoon Magazine, writer for the game show "Street Smart" and writer and star of "Knightline;" which led to a pilot for Viacom entitled "The Fly TV Show." Several comedy television shows have discovered Knight's wry wit. In addition to guest appearances on a slew of local television shows across the nation, he was featured on "Star Search," A&E's "Comedy on the Road," VH-1's "Stand-up Spotlight," and Showtime's "Comedy Club Network."
